Once upon a time...

Post by nicolas »

...There was a cycling team named "Renault Elf Cycles Gitane".

They were the best in their business. They had a great visual identity & the personality.

There was also a F1 team named "Renault Elf". Pretty innovative. Kept building motors for the best teams.

In 2011, there is no cycling team in sight. "Gitane " is being replaced by "Definitive". There's no way to distinguish These bikes from the others on the market.

In 2011 the Renault F1 team is now called... whatever. They replaced the "Renault" name on the rear wing of the Red Bull cars by "Infiniti" which is a new brand built by Renault & Nissan.

"Definitive"... "Infiniti"... French marketing is lame.

Once upon a time????. (continued)

??? Fortunately though, a band of freedom fighters formed to preserve the old ways of Gitane. With guidance from Master Verktyg, many great machines have been restored to their former glory. Not wanting to stagnate and and become a narrow minded religion, this group of rebels adapted to some of the modern ways and welcomed the fixed conversions into their ranks. Now they keep the truth alive, riding the brand that has won more Tours than any other, dispelling the mythology that aero bikes are a new concept, and above all resisting the evil domination of Darth Moser and the driod-built machines of the Asian Bike Empire.
Kind Regards,

I think we might need to re-name the Delta bars S-Foils pretty soon.

I wonder how long we can carry on with this thread before Emperor Sandman uses the dark side of the force to strangle us on other sides of the planet? :P

No worries. I'll use princess Emma as a shield. The Force is strong in this one.
