Jacques Anquetil at the Dauphin? and Le Double!

Post by Wisey »

Some good Gitane action on PEZ CyclingNews:

Jacques Anquetil at the Dauphin? and Le Double!
Seeing as the Crit?rium du Dauphin? is on at the moment I can show you one of my favourite bits of cycling retro. Here is the story of how Raphael Geminiani talked French hero; Jacques Anquetil into winning the Dauphin? and then the (now defunct) Bordeaux-Paris back to back. The best bit is Raphael Geminiani?s description of the derny bikes?classic!
